The Gunfighter and the Gear-Head is set in a post alien invasion world where life has settled in a new "normal" and the fight against the aliens is still going on. One of my favorite things about this novel is that the two main characters are very different people and both have unique voices that make them separate individuals. The title of the book is very descriptive in how different these two are personality wise. Both very likable, but both very different people. Also I should mention this vision of the end of the world still has hope in it. Its a good thing imho. Ms. Duffy has a talented voice for humor as well.
